Blood...oranges
To while away the winter (it snowed again yesterday, YES I am complaining), we have taken to fighting off scurvy through ingesting huge amounts of oranges.
BLOOD oranges are a new favorite. Why? Because they are dark red/purple and when you bite into them and let the juice go all over your face it looks like BLOOD.
And to little boys, this is straight up awesome.
And sticky.
It's gross, but it's been a long winter. We are in survival mode here people.
So, blood oranges? Pass 'em on down,

Awesome
This is my favorite thing from today:

Knights, horses and dinosaurs.
Perfect!
These boys are pretty cool cats, ya know?

Here Comes the Snow!
Here comes the blizzard of the year! Well, maybe. It might end up being a bust but we'll see.

We have food. We have water, wood for our stove and fireplace and Diet Coke.
We don't have to be anywhere until Sunday.
Bring it on winter. BRING IT ON.

DUH DUH DUUUNNNN!!!!
Goodness, sometimes church is a lot of work. That's all I have to say about that.
In other news, friends, I have resurrected The Diet Coke Diet.
I know. Right?
So, since it's been resurrected, go on over. I haven't posted any new material yet. But I will! I HAVE PLANS DAGNABIT! I do need to change the name, sadly. Something about protected copyright, BLAH BLAH BLAH.
If you have any ideas, head over there and tell me! HELP!
Other than that, we're just doing our thing.
School starts ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! We are all very excited. It's nice, to feel ready, no stress or worry. Just ready, and excited. :)
Anyway! You're great, and I like you. That's all.

C-R-A-P
Henry declared after helping me with laundry and dinner making that it was "the best day ever." Sure but ask him to pick up his toys and it's like he's being abused! What's up with that?
I am having a crisis, people. A CRISIS!
We have so much crap.
Crap EVERYWHERE.
Now part of the problem is that the basement flooded causing us to have to lift many a thing off the ground and put it elsewhere. So, now I see how much CRAP there actually is down there.
Know how many TVs we own? Five.
Know how many we need to get rid of? FOUR!
Know how many 20 gallon tubs of toys we have? (Plus all the toys we actually PLAY WITH?) Two.
Know how many we need to get rid of? TWO.
Clothes, shoes, socks, underwear, towels, sheets, blankets, books, dishes, toys, DVDs, computers, phones, cords of ridiculous variety, food, bikes, helmets, scooters, shovels, balls...
TOO MUCH CRAP!
I am contemplating a yard sale. Would you like a TV?
It's driving me bananas.
It's bananas. BANANAS.
(DID YOU SING THE SONG???)
Help. Help me now.
Seriously. Want a TV?

How to Make Your Boot Stand Up Straight
So, I had this pair of knee high black leather boots when I was 18. They were the ONE thing I had wanted for my birthday, and my sweet parents obliged. I got a lot of dates when I wore those bad boys to church...
ANYWAY! I owned those beauties until my darn feet grew a size after three babies, and then they went to Goodwill. Sad day.
Recently, they have been replaced with a new pair, albeit brown, loves of my life.
I am striving to make sure they last a good long time to justify the PRICE of said boots.
And dontcha hate it when your boots bend at the ankle, effectively putting permanent creases in your leather?
Me too.
I read this tip in some magazine like 10 years ago and have been a fan every since.
Ready? You will need: Boots and 2 magazines.
Roll up the magazines.
Stick them inside your boots.
Viola.
Less storage space taken up AND your boots stay pretty for longer.
You're welcome.
