It's Independence Day

Happy Birthday 'Merica. You are beautiful, with spacious skies and amber waves of grain, from the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee, my country tis of thee, God Bless America.

We had a family over for dinner and fireworks, and it was SO very much fun.

Red white n' blue jello (red jello, marshmello fluff, and blueberry pie filling) was a HIT with everyone.

I thought we bought 48 SPARKLERS. No. Incorrect. We bought 48 BOXES of sparklers. Fun for ALLLLLL.

Our own little minishow, because let's face it, I don't want my kids of late enough to enjoy actual fireworks.

\

And yes, we do fireworks while it's still light out because, let's face it, I don't want my kids up that late.

Blurry shot. Oh I am the master of the camera phone.

I thought she'd be afraid of the fireworks. False. She LOVED them. Also, see how ridiculously curly my hair is? Thanks for that New England.

Please note there are no pictures of Ezra. He was fine all day, then as soon we put sat down for some food, he started crying, and basically fell asleep. Then he woke up, puked, and was put in the bath and bed. I'm sure our friends who were visiting were SO SO SO happy to be here to pick up our lovely mystery virus. So, Mr. Ez missed the entire party. Poor bud.

Anyway, hope your 4th was delightful. Ours was, once we got the house cleaned up. (OH THE PAIN OF CLEANING!)

Happy Independence Day!

Looks like a fun 4th of July! No 1776 though? When will your children be old enough to stay up for fireworks in the dark? LOL.
Love ya!
