Quoteable quotes

So, we all know the adage, "Kids say the darndest things." And I completely agree. Most of the "darndest" comes from overhearing adults in their lives say things they shouldn't say. It's a fact.

For example:
Henry, "Mom, I'm sorry you're too fat for your pants." (said out of the blue whilst driving. Yeah, he's definitely hearing things I don't say to HIM!)

Spencer: DANG IT! (at least it was 'dang' and not other choice words I am wont to say on occasion.)

Henry and Spencer have been both been heard saying, "Crap!" as well. Hmmm....

I keep wondering when one of them is going to say, a-s-s because I say it more often than I should... it's kind of a problem.

I should repent and stop doing that, don't you think?

Talk to Sarah about kids saying the d(*$%st things. Once it's in their little brains,,,,

Now the question is, where did you get some of those terms. Because I don't use them, ever.

MA

Except for damn and hell. Of course. Because they aren't hard core swearing, just soft core.

So, I think it's interesting that your Google Ads pop up on my Blogline feed. But I think it is even more interesting that your Google ads seem to have a very interesting focus! For example, today's says:

"Make Him Fall For You: Learn the Secret Psychology to what makes a man fall in love...and keeps him hooked for long term"

I think this is a totally applicable Google Ad. Think about it...you're talking about how your kids pick up your bad habits, how you wish you didn't say bad words in front of them, which I think totally and completely relates to making a man fall in love with you long term.

Well, most of the other ads have been diet ones, as if you must be using enough "diet" related keywords to pick up their ads. Hmm...I think my faith in applicable Google Ads is failing (this is from a business standpoint, that is...would my "Polish Pottery" ads show up on a technology blog?!)...and it is quite amusing to see what ads pop up on your blog each day!! Are you getting clicks?!!

Alisa- I should check...I forget they are there. I bet I'm not getting clicks. Right now both of them are about dream homes... weird.

Maybe you should stop, but I personally love hearing things like that in little kid voices. Aimee said oh my gosh the other day, and I burst out laughing. I didn't even think I said that!

When Devin said D%^& it I took his finger put it in vinegar and put it in his mouth. No side effects but it is effective for them to know that they said something foul WITH their mouth so they get something foul IN their mouth.
The other words have been Devin asking what they mean. Example: A kid on the bus (2nd grader) told Devin (Pre-K at the time) to shut the F up. Of course he came home and asked.
So, glad it's not hard core words. You're so cute and so are those adorable boys (yes you can include Derek if you must).

You mean I'm not the only Mom who fails to only say "Yay yay, nay nay?"

Your blog is such entertainment for me. I loved your last post especially.

Hehehe. I have unfortunately had Andrew repeat one of my not so appropriate word choices. Sigh. Bad mom.
