NO!

Spencer has reached a very special milestone.

He now says "NO!" with great force and gusto. All.the.time.

It's cute when he's not being a pain, but then, when he's being a pain, it's not cute.

For example-

Cute:
Spencer brought me one of my shirts. I asked him if he wanted ME to wear it.

Spencer's reply: "NO!"

Me: Do YOU want to wear Mommy's shirt?

Spencer: YEAH!

Not cute:

Me: Spencer, what are you eating?

Spencer: No.

Me: Spencer, is that a crayon in your mouth?

Spencer: NO!

Then, I got to dig blue crayon out his mouth.

Henry didn't say, "NO," until he was almost two. He talked late and therefore didn't catch on to "no" for a LOOOONNNNGGGG time. However, Spencer is a pro already.

And in closing:

Me: Spencer, why are you poopy again! (3rd time today).

Spencer: No.

Ahh, I see.
