How they grew...

So, I weaned Henry when he was 17 months old. He was only *slightly* addicted to nursing and wasn't keen to quit. But, I was 6 months pregnant with Spencer and NEEDED to be done. So, I forced him. It wasn't awful, just a couple of rough days.

Fastforward 2 years, and imagine my surprise when Spencer decided to be done, all by himself, at almost 14 months! Amazing. One day, he was nursing. The next day, he was not. WEIRD. No tears, nothing. Now, instead of nursing before bed, I literally flop him in his bed after prayers and he goes to sleep. By himself.

Now, I'm sure that some people's children do this without any prompting and do it much younger, but after my experiences with Henry, you can safely assume that I was ready for it to be a real fight with Mr. Spencer Pants. I'm very, VERY grateful that he's done, and that he is HAPPY. Hurray!

They grow up too fast. Henry got a haircut (by Salon-Mamacita) and he looks SO OLD! He's almost three and time is going too quickly.

I'm so happy for you that it went so well!! That's so awesome, and SO nice that you don't have to have the fight at bed time. Hooray for Spencer.
