The Zoo
Henry had a blast at the zoo, and particularly loved the monkeys. He also really enjoyed taking "pictures" with his toy camera of all the animals.
The highlight for BOTH kids was the free cupcakes they were giving out for the zoo's Earth Day Party. WOOHOO!
Then we went back and did the swimming thing at the hotel pool, which was also a ton of fun. Spencer really enjoyed lounging in his floatie and Henry liked climbing the ladder and jumping in.
I did lose my wallet but went back the next morning to the restaurant and it was there 100% intact.
And the boys REFUSED to sit through the general session of stake conference, which was the whole reason for the trip, but whatever. At least Derek and I got to sit through the adult session, while the kids played in the nursery. The conference, (what we heard of it...) was great. Very uplifting.
It was a really fun weekend!

Hey, I see you have a sit-n-stand...what do you think of it? I'm planning on buying one and always like people's opinions. :)
LOVE IT, BUY IT! It's good for being extremely inexpensive. The only problem that I've had with it is that I have to take the trays off the front in order for it to fit in my corrolla. Oh, and Henry gets mad sometimes and tries to get off the back seat, and the pad's velcro comes loose, but that's not a big deal.
We LOVE IT!
I have a sit n stand too and I love it. Everywhere I go people say "Cool stroller!" The tray thing is a bit annoying, but not too bad.
How fun! I love the zoo!
Is it just me, or do you lose your wallet a lot? ;)
Maren, only when we go to Stake meetings. I don't get it.
Morgan... So I've waited so long to get back to you now that I can't figure out which blog or post you commented on and left your email. Oops. So I do want to connect somehow, I'd love to have some of your humor on the mommy moments blog. Even if it's just a link to some of your posts (off the top of my head I'm remembering a really good one about restaurant mishaps :) ). You can send an email my way at lynnoba@hotmail.com.
Oh, and just to continue the advertisement, I have a sit-n-stand and they're great. Except strap in the older child whenever possible. I was crossing a very busy intersection, and in the rush of it I was focusing on watching for cars, when suddenly I was walking over something. It was my two year old, who had completely slid down and off the "stand" part and was spread eagle on the pavement in the middle of the intersection. Oops.
