Merry Christmas to all!

Or as they say 'cross the pond, Happy Christmas.

I am currently enjoying a glass of Christmas bubbly (which in my world is sparkling grapejuice) and watching Elf. What a funny movie! ("SANTA! I KNOW HIM! I KNOW HIM!" "Buddy, the Elf, what's your favorite color?")

We had a wonderful day! Henry was the LAST one up this morning. Spencer was up first at 6 am. Mommy wishes he'd slept longer...

After breakfast, we started in on the presents. It took all of one present for Henry to get the idea. "MORE!" became the key word. He had a wonderful day, I hope. He got play tools, which meant that all day he ran around "fixing" everything. The other highlight was the play camera. "SMILE MOMMY!" It was quite cute. He finally passed out, after a very exciting evening eating Turkey and playing with Thomas. (We had Christmas dinner with our friends Dave and Lisa. They have a little two year old boy.)

We are off to Kansas City tomorrow to pick up our rental car and then hitting I-80 to Utah on Thursday. I'm very excited to see my family (it's been a year), but I am NOT looking forward to the drive. Two kids... sigh. At least we're renting a Jeep. It'll have room in the back for me, so I can "lean and feed" Spencer. Plus, we have the DVD player. I plan on utilizing it the ENTIRE. TIME. Well, hopefully, Henry will nap a bit too...

I love the Christmas season, and I'm so grateful for all my blessings at this time of year... a wonderful husband who works so very hard, two beautiful children who I love and adore, a home, a car, friends, food (lots of food), the Gospel... the list goes on and on. Mostly, I'm grateful for our Savior and that he was born, so he could save us all.

And to all a Good night!
