My dear sweet boy, whom we call Henry expressed a desire a while back to make a me a necklace for my birthday. Well, he started this AFTER my birthday, so I explained that next year he could. Well, apparently, belated birthday gifts are a-okay in his book. So, he slyly asked for help with some tape.
Next thing I know, I'm being gifted with this:
That, my friends, is a rock, carefully and expertly duct taped to a string. And I wore it ALL day long, even at the store. It held up quite nicely.
Don't be jealous. He's going to start an Etsy store selling his creations. All will soon be able to partake.
But seriously, he did a good job! And I love that he made me something. Usually his creations are of the "weapon" and "engineering" way. This was really different and frankly, I love it.

Maybe you really should start an etsy store. It could become a college fund!
At least it's not a necklace that's a replica of a Woo Hoo - remember those?!?!?! HA HA HA!!!
Simple as this post is, it really made my heart swell.
Of course, you know the reason that he made it out of ROCK! Because that's what we do with ROCKS!
Ha!

I got something like that for Mother's Day once. It became my favorite necklace, always and forever.
a rock taped to a string. true love right there...on both ends.
That's just adorable!
Well, he'll have to do a giveaway on like 20 blogs when he starts his store. :)
What a sweetheart. And you were such a great sport.
