When he sees you coming toward him in the hall, he begins to bounce up and down in his crib, grinning like a maniac through his binky. His sweet face is all pacifier and rosy warm cheeks. He is THRILLED to see you. Nothing in the world is bothering him just then. You're here! You're here to get him! To hug and kiss him! THRILLED, I say!!

There is nothing better. I tell you. I dare you to find something. And when you think you have, you will realize you were wrong. Because being LOVED just because you're YOU is ridiculously hard to compete with.
Things that compete are: Diet coke, chocolate, no laundry needing to be done, and freshly vacuumed floors. But they all fall short.
Something that comes VERY close is your kids loving each other. It's awfully cute to see.

But seriously folks. Sweet baby joy. Mmm-mmm-mmm. Between little baby love and flannel sheets, I Morgan, could easily accomplish world peace. It's just NOT that complicated.

Why do you insist on making me cry because of your touching posts? GOSH! I love it and really I love those three little guys so much too. I look at those little faces and I just get so happy. Thanks for always sharing them with me! I also love that I get to be pretty much related to you as well. I am very lucky in the family area!
Wow, I haven't had a baby jumping in a crib after a nap in about 2 1/2 years. I'm kind of excited about that prospects. Got to get past the crying phase first though. Your boys (Derek too) are handsome guys. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I know I can't do laundry for you, but maybe a case of Diet Coke might mysteriously show up at your house one day.
