Well, we made it home yesterday around noon. (A full day later than we hoped. We ended up stopping again in Nebraska, poor Henry was bawling and begging to "get out!?" So we did.
We got home at noon, unloaded the Subaru and headed to Kansas City to return the rental car.
AND......
The little Budget manager gave us the whole rental for free! So basically, we still had to pay Avis for the SECOND car and for both of our hotel stays, but we go the $400 from Budget back. So, instead of costing $700 to get home, it only cost us $300.
Then, we went and spent a ton of money at Steve and Barrys as celebration. (They are having an awesome sale, so if you have one near you, GO!)
So, we were officially, "done" traveling at 11pm last night. My poor husband had to get up and go to work at 8am. I felt so bad for him. Not bad enough to get my own tushie out of bed with him at 7:00, but bad...
So, we're alive and well, and now I have to unpack, take down the Christmas decorations, get Spencer BACK to the doctor (he is STILL sick) and somewhere in that, I'm planning on shaving my legs.... maybe WHILE I am taking down Christmas decorations.

Good luck with shaving while taking down Christmas decorations, you'll have to let me know how that goes:) I'm glad you made it home okay.
I'm one of those girls that's notorious for just not shaving in the winter. Gross, I know, but maybe, just MAYBE it'll keep me a LIIIITTLE bit warmer next time I have to go out in the bone-chilling Wisconsin winter weather.
Glad to hear I'm not the only person who slacks in the shaving-the-legs-department...
After all, I don't wear shorts (nor do I have any reason to, in Alaska)...so who's looking? Poor Jared....
